Save Healthcare

Lurching from crisis to crisis is not the Canada we knew eight years ago. We need more readily available healthcare services for all Canadians. I support the implementation of a national Blue Seal, which ensures that foreign-trained healthcare workers can easily integrate into the Canadian healthcare system as long as they meet benchmark qualification standards.

Restore fiscal common sense

It's a fact: Deficits are paid for with higher taxes and inflation. That's why inflation has accelerated at a rate not seen in the past 40 years.

The current Liberal government’s inflationary policies have given rise to a sky-high cost-of-living crisis, effectively penalizing everyone's income and standard of living.  It is long past time to take our finances seriously.

End censorship

We are all deeply worried with how the Trudeau government has been increasingly encroaching upon basic civil liberties, including its current attempt to exert control over freedom of speech on the internet. I am fully dedicated to safeguarding the rights of Canadians to voice their opinions without fear of censorship or retribution.

Respect for seniors

Our senior citizens are the backbone of our nation. They have worked extremely hard to build this country and they should enjoy their golden years by living in dignity. While every Canadian is targeted by the rise of cost-of-living, seniors are particularly affected. The Trudeau Liberals have failed our seniors, leaving them with no choice but to use their pensions to cope with increases in the price of food, housing, bills, and fuel.

Change is in the air

The Ottawa West Nepean Conservative nomination is coming up soon.

I still have faith in our great nation of Canada.

I was born in a refugee camp where I had to overcome great adversity almost every day, with starvation and discrimination always looming. Living in abject poverty during my early childhood, I was filled with new hope at the age of ten when my family and I had the fortune of immigrating to Canada. Realizing that my new home provided me with opportunities I never even knew existed, for the first time in my life I actually believed that with hard work and determination I could achieve anything. I dedicated myself to my studies until I made it to university, where I graduated with dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and sociology.

As a current House of Commons staffer, I have had the privilege of working at the heart of our democracy, gaining invaluable experience serving constituents. Indeed, being a staffer on the Hill has deepened my understanding of the issues facing our country. Canadians are struggling to make ends meet under the Liberal government, and now more than ever, we need strong, principled leadership to steer our nation in the right direction. Today, I am committed to restoring some long overdue accountability in how we do politics in Parliament, as people from all walks of life are turning towards the Common Sense ideas of the Conservative Party.

It's not too late.

I believe in strong and vibrant communities where everyone takes care of one another, which is why I have always committed myself to bettering the lives of my fellow Canadians.  In my capacity as a Counsellor in B.C., I worked tirelessly to aid the underprivileged overcome addiction, cope with mental illness, and combat homelessness.

Having personally weathered the storms of hardship, I recognize the challenges that so many of you are now facing. My mission is to be your strong and loyal voice in our Parliament: Every day I will work diligently for the parent who puts food on the table, the young adult who pays rent, the senior citizen who built our community, and for all those who value their freedom of expression.

Affordability

The current Liberal government’s inflationary policies have given rise to a sky-high cost-of-living crisis, creating major day-to-day struggles for Canadians. Under the Liberals, the national debt and the cost of housing have doubled, and inflation has accelerated at a rate not seen in the past 40 years. Hardworking Canadians deserve a government that will allow them to take home bigger paychecks and make essentials such as food, bills, mortgages, and gas more affordable.

As a result of Trudeau's rampant spending, a majority of Canadians are now at risk of being unable to meet their financial obligations. Canadian families are forced to reduce the number of meals they eat daily and compromise on nutrition due to Trudeau’s inflationary policies and the Carbon Tax. This is not the same Canada we all knew eight years ago. In addition to the cost-of-living crisis hurting Canadian families, Trudeau’s carbon tax is set to increase every year, adding to the financial strain felt by families across the country. I am devoted to finding real solutions to reduce the financial strain on residents of Ottawa West-Nepean.

Hospitals - Healthcare
(Shortage of Doctors)

Canada’s shortage of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals is another major concern for Canadian families. To fix our broken healthcare system in Ottawa West-Nepean, we need to bring home our doctors, nurses, and caregivers. Additionally, it is becoming extremely difficult for Canadians to find a family physician.

This is not the Canada we knew eight years ago. We need more readily available healthcare services for all Canadians. I support the implementation of a national Blue Seal, which ensures that foreign-trained healthcare workers can easily integrate into the Canadian healthcare system as long as they meet benchmark qualification standards. I am determined to advocate for accessible and quality healthcare services for Ottawa West-Nepean residents.

Freedom of Speech

Freedom of Speech

Freedom of expression is integral to Canadian democracy, which is why I have always been a strong proponent of protecting free speech. I know firsthand what it is like not to benefit from basic human rights given my past experiences as a refugee who lived in a dictatorship.

I am deeply worried with how the Trudeau government has been increasingly encroaching upon basic civil liberties, including its current attempt to exert control over freedom of speech on the internet. I am fully dedicated to safeguarding the rights of Canadians to voice their opinions without fear of censorship.

The Trudeau Liberals have failed our seniors, leaving them with no choice but to use their pensions to cope with increases in the price of food, housing, bills, and fuel.

Senior citizens should never have to rely on food banks because that is not the Canada that they envisioned when they were building it. They should always have easy access to healthcare services because they need it the most. In fact, they should never have to endure lengthy wait periods to see a doctor. These issues affecting our seniors represent a top priority for me, and I am committed to addressing them when I become your Member of Parliament.
